Shadows are spaces where light has yet to touch and are themselves a byproduct of light. Noir is the french word for black or darkness. Noir films are characterized by a shadowy visual style, moral ambiguity, and themes of cynicism and fatality. Surrealism is a concept that rejects rationalism while also emphasizing the juxtaposition and blending of dreams and reality.
My style of photography blends these elements into a cohesive visual expression. With a film-like haze, punchy contrast, & bold color grading, I use my camera to gather light. I then navigate the shadows and selectively paint with this light to convey mood, tell a story, inspire the viewer, and transport them to a new dimension somewhere between dreams and reality. When you view my work, I want the beauty to make you stop, the contents to make you think, & my methodology to make you feel.
When I began my photography journey in 2013, I built my platform by taking self-portraits that opened many exploratory creative doors for me. I have shared some of those self-portraits below to assist these words in telling my story. The resulting artistic, spiritual, and emotional introspection from my self-portraiture informs my approach to the creative-collaborative process.
My work has graced magazines, Hollywood film sets, and made hundreds of thousands of impressions across various social media platforms. I approach each collaboration with a client-first perspective of customer service. I am confident that whatever the story, I can tell it effectively, evoke the words you might not be able to find, and create memories that stand the test of time. No project is too big or too small; so, let’s connect and make something beautiful that we can take pride in.
